Belton Farm Wins at 2017 International Cheese Awards
Belton Cheese is celebrating once again after another outstanding performance at this year’s International Cheese Awards held in Nantwich, Cheshire.
Having accrued the most points in show Belton were awarded the National Westminster Trophy for the 6th consecutive year for their points coup, an unprecedented achievement.
Belton also received an incredible 6 Trophies
- Farmhouse Cheesemakers Trophy for White Cheshire
- The Shop Cheshire Trophy for Champion Farmhouse Cheshire
- Orchard Valley Dairy Supplies Trophy for Best Wax Cheddar
- Coombe Castle Award – Best Export for Double Gloucester Onion & Chive
- The Champion Modern British Cheese – White Fox
- National Westminster Trophy for Highest Number of Points Overall
The Company also scooped a fantastic 20 Gold awards, 13 Silver and 13 Bronze.
Speaking after the awards, the Company’s Managing Director Justin Beckett said: “We are absolutely delighted with our achievements. The International Cheese Awards are a highlight in the awards season for the industry and it is a great honour to have our products celebrated in front of customers, both from the UK and overseas.”

Family run Belton is one of the biggest names in British territorial cheese making. The Company supplies cheese into the UK supermarkets and independent wholesalers and also exports worldwide including USA, Canada, Australia and South Africa. All of the milk for Belton cheese production is collected daily and comes from 85 local farms within a 25-mile radius of the Dairy.
